What Is PRISM Pet Supply?
PRISM Pet Supply: Grand Opening is a collaborative, story-based Math Lab where students become the newest team members at a pet store preparing for its big launch in Petville.
Over 15–20 hours of hands-on challenges, students design blueprints, create signs, build displays, measure spaces, and solve real problems using area, perimeter, arrays, and multiplication. Everything needed—materials, slides, videos, student pages, and teacher guides—comes in the kit.

What Students Do
In PRISM Pet Supply, students work in teams to prepare a brand-new pet store for its grand opening. Every challenge is math-powered and story-driven.
Create store signs
Teams multiply side lengths to find the area of rectangular signs and choose the best designs.
Choose a store location
Students measure and compare perimeter to select the most efficient and customer-friendly layout.
Build display tables
Students create and combine arrays to design tables that fit products and space constraints.
Stock shelves & manage inventory
Teams use multiplication and addition to stock shelves and track items.
Construct an aquarium castle
Students use area, perimeter, and problem-solving to design a feature aquarium display.
Plan the parking lot
Students measure length, calculate area, and consider traffic flow to design a parking area.
Create ID badges & floor plans
Each team member designs an ID card and helps draw a scaled floor plan of the store.
Record a commercial
Teams script and perform a commercial, communicating their design choices and math thinking.
Solve the “Missing Dogs” mystery
Students apply their math skills to track down missing pets and save the grand opening.
